As for acting classes - I've taken more improv classes than anything else and I'm looking into doing another one at the PIT. I think learning Improv allows you to be REAL in whatever you do. It helps you drop your guard and it allows you to be FREE! So, that's my advice - take an improv class - as much of them as you can. I'd say, start at the PIT in nyc.
